Phoenix is a Polyurethane based ink system which is 100% NTNK (Non Tolune – Non Ketone). Phoenix Displays impressive bond strengths which allows for lamination constructions of the highest quality.
Phoenix shows success in retortable packaging, shrink, pasteurisation as well as standard lamination applications with the use of the correct quality substrate.
Phoenix is a range of Flexographic and Gravure inks for printing on a variety of different substrates which means that only one ink system needs to be stocked for lamination jobs.
Properties
- Excellent printability, high strength and resolubility
- Excellent Higher bond strengths
- Low solvent retention/low odour
- Can run at speeds from 60 to 500 meters per minute
- Suitable for retort and boil in bags, but here again, trial and approval are a necessity (prior tests on customer specific substrates to be conducted by Hi-Tech Inks)
- Extremely stable and excellent reusability feature resulting in less wastage
- Better productivity due to higher press speeds than conventional inks
- Added mileage benefits.
- Low VOC’s
- Low print grammage with increase in bond strengths
Substrates
Applicable on all Polyesters (treated, chemically treated, PVDC coated), Nylon , PT Cellophane, PVDC coated films, Polyethylene, PVC Shrink/Stretch and on BOPP, including white cavitated (Pearlised) and non cavitated BOPP. Slight modifications will be required for Surface Printing on any of the above substrates.
This ink system is suitable for adhesive (both solvent based and solvent free)
